A BOUTIQUE online store specialising in contemporary handmade jewellery is introducing its Autumn collection at a preview event in York.

The Jewel Jar is launching its latest collection of Indian-inspired jewellery at Whitewall Art Gallery, Davygate, York, on Friday, September 24, from noon until 5pm.

The Jewel Jar champions talented independent designers from India who use traditional techniques to create intricate pieces that bridge the gap between ancient and modern.

People interested in attending are being invited to email lauren@nima.co.uk to reserve a place which will be allocated on a first come first served basis.

The afternoon will showcase jewellery trends, help people to select pieces to suit their style and personality, shop from the collection and find out from the founder about the heritage, story and sustainable consciousness behind this brand while enjoying a complimentary glass of Prosecco.

The business aims to inspire women to feel confident in their own skin by providing a diverse and unique range of jewellery from minimal to bold statement pieces for everyday wear and special occasions.

Parneet Kaur, founder, said: “I’m thrilled to be showcasing my new collection in the stunning city of York and introducing people from across the city to the colour, dazzle and beauty that is The Jewel Jar.

"I believe that jewellery is a form of self expression that empowers people to be experimental with their own style.

"Coming from an Indian heritage myself, I found that traditional jewellery was often limited to special occasions so set about bringing together an eclectic mix of jewellery with personality for diverse women to wear.”

The Jewel Jar specialises in a versatile range of earrings, bracelets and bangles, rings and headpieces including everyday essentials, statement pieces, classic gold, traditional styles with a modern twist, party pieces and sustainable choices, utilising wood and other biodegradable materials.
