Power has been restored to 600 York homes in the Woodthorpe of York which were left withoutn electricity this morning.
The power was swithed off at 9am so that Northern Powergrid engineers could replace underground cables. But power has now been restored.
Northn Powergrid stressed the essential work was planned in advance.
