Three men arrested following 'violent disturbance' in Malton
Three men have been arrested following reports of a violent disturbance in Malton at 7am this morning.
There was a large police presence in the town's Castlegate area following the reports.
Police temporarily closed parts of the area to ensure there was no risk to the public.
Three men – one in his 50s and two in their 20s – have been arrested on suspicion of public order offences. They remain in custody while enquiries continue.
Roads around the scene of the incident have now reopened.
