A woman who fell and injured her ankle was carried to an ambulance by firefighters
A WOMAN who fell and injured her ankle on the North York Moors was rescued by firefighters.
North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service said crews from Whitby and Goathland were requested to assist the woman at 3.45pm today.
"The lady was carried to an awaiting ambulance and left in the care of the paramedics," it added.
