FIREFIGHTERS were called to commercial premises in York city centre after a microwave oven caught fire.
North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service said its York crew went to the property in George Hudson Street at 6.43pm last night.
It said the occupier had removed the appliance from the property to outside, prior to firefighters arriving.
They extinguished the fire using a hose reel jet.
