During the last four weeks planning applications have been submitted for the felling of 64 trees.
The first two weeks saw only four requests. But then in week three no fewer than 41, were marked for felling by the Joseph Rowntree Housing Trust in Homestead Park (The Press, May 25).That was followed this week by further applications for another 16.
One can only hope the council will do the right thing and deny this mass destruction.
