Firefighters helped rescue a horse which had become trapped in a hole
FIRE crews have helped rescue a horse after it became trapped in a hole.
North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service said crews from Ripon and Hawes went to the incident in Widdale yesterday lunchtime.
"Crews used specialist animal rescue equipment and tirfer winch to release the horse," it said.
