POLICE have cordoned off an area of woodland in Selby after a suspected hand grenade was found earlier today.
Just before 10am this morning (May 11) a member of the public reported finding what is thought to be a hand grenade in Brayton Barff woods in Selby.
A spokesperson for North Yorkshire Police said: "An area of the woods has been cordoned off to allow emergency services to attend the area.
"Members of the public are advised to stay clear of the area."
