A COMEDIAN is preparing for two live shows in one night at Pocklington Arts Centre (PAC) later this year.

Well-known comic Omid Djalili will perform at PAC as part of the venue’s plans to ensure the show will go on despite having to change their plans for Platform Festival this year.

Omid, known for countless TV appearances including Live at The Apollo, The Frank Skinner Show, and Have I Got News For You, was due to headline the opening night of the festival, held at The Old Station in Pocklington, this summer.

But when organisers decided not to stage the large-scale indoor festival due to the pandemic, the award-winning comedian agreed to do two shows in one night at PAC on July 22 at 7pm and 9pm.

PAC Director, Janet Farmer, said: "We have some outstanding live comedy lined up as part of our forthcoming live events programme, and Omid is the perfect addition to this."

Remaining tickets for Omid Djalili live at PAC are £25 each and on sale now on the venue's website at: www.pocklingtonartscentre.co.uk
