YORK could get a new garden centre if plans get the go ahead for an extension of B&M at Clifton Moor.
B&M - known for its discounted goods for the home - is seeking planning permission to expand its site at the retail park to house a new garden centre.
The store opened in 2019 - replacing the previous store on a neighbouring site that was destroyed by fire in October 2018.
Under the proposals before City of York Council, B&M would expand into a larger unit, developing a new garden centre to the rear.
It is also seeking permission to sell food and drink from the enlarged premises.
B&M already operates from Unit 7 at Clifton Moor and is seeking to upsize by merging with Unit 6 and part of Unit 5.
