A MAN from York is facing numerous charges and is due to appear in court following a collision in the city earlier this week.
Police were called just after 10.50pm on Tuesday (May 4) after a car collided with a lamppost and buildings in the Gillygate area.
The driver, a 27-year-old man, was arrested at the scene and later charged with:
- Driving without due care and attention
- Failing to provide a specimen for analysis
- Obstructing a constable in the execution of their duty
- Possessing class A drugs (cocaine)
The man is due to appear at York Magistrates’ Court on May 24.
