UPDATED 11.15AM: North Yorkshire Police have now confirmed that officers do not believe there are any suspicious circumstances surrounding the death of a woman who was found in Tadcaster Road this morning (May 6).
A report will now be prepared for HM Coroner.
A BODY has been found at an ongoing police incident in York.
North Yorkshire Police say the body of a woman was discovered near the Marriott Hotel on Knavesmire at 7.40am today (May 6).
Emergency Service are currently at the scene in Tadcaster Road.
A police spokesman said: "The woman's death is currently being treated as unexplained and officers at the scene are working to establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident.
"Police enquiries are in the early stages and we will provide more information when we are able."

There are about six police officers at the scene and police have taped off an area of land about 100 metres square close to the Marriott Hotel and not far from York Racecourse.
The area is popular with joggers and dog walkers.
