Multi-vehicle crash on main route in to York
UPDATED 10.05AM: There is still queueing traffic due to the earlier accident, but all lanes have now been re-opened.
A MULTI-VEHICLE crash is partially blocking a main route in to York.
Emergency services are currently on the scene of a crash on the A1237 at Upper Poppleton.
The road is partially blocked both ways with queueing traffic due to a multi-vehicle accident from the A59 Upper Poppleton to the A19 Shipton Road at Rawcliffe. The crash is affecting traffic between Copmanthorpe and Earswick.
Drivers are being warned to avoid the area if at all possible.
It's not known whether anyone has been injured in the crash.
