A SPECIALIST explosives sniffer dog was used after firefighters were called out to reports of a suspect package in York.
North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue say they were called out at about 12.30pm yesterday (May 4) to Manor Court off Lawrence Street.
A spokesman for the service said: "A crew from York along with an officer attended an incident involving a package that was leaking a sticky liquid.
"The package had been moved outside of the property on to the street, on the arrival of crews. A specialist explosives dog, Isla, was called and inspected the package which turned out to be a food substance, probably olive oil."
