FIRE crews were called to an incident involving a fire in a derelict bungalow in North Yorkshire.
Crews from Acomb and Huntington, including the aerial ladder platform, attended a fire to a derelict bunglaow undergoing construction work in Millfield Lane in Nether Poppleton.
It is believed by the fire service that some young people had gained access to the property and ripped some wooden plinth from the kitchen and set it alight on top of worktop.
This caused some moderate fire damage to the worktop and tiles behind it and slight smoke damage to the remainder of the property.
Crews used four breathing apparatus sets, one hose reel jet, tools and thermal imaging camera to tackle the blaze.
