POLICE have arrested two men following an assault in Kirkbymoorside.
The incident occurred in West End, Kirkbymoorside on Saturday (May 1) at around 10.40pm.
A spokesperson for North Yorkshire Police said: "Two men were assaulted by a group of men in the town centre. The victims suffered multiple injuries, including cuts and bruises, during the incident.
"Police are urging any witnesses who have not yet come forward to get in touch.
"Two local men, both in their 20s, have been arrested and released under investigation while enquiries continue."
