THE Covid rate has risen again in Selby, the UK's current coronavirus hotspot.
Public Health England said the seven-day rolling rate in the Selby District Council area in the week to April 26 was 114.8 cases per 100,000 population.
The areas with the next highest rates were Hyndburn, in Lancashire, with a rolling rate of 82.7 per 100,000 people, and North Lincolnshire, with a rate of 81.
At the other end of the scale, the Shetland Isles had a rate of zero.
The rise in cases in Selby is linked to an outbreak at a business in the town, Clipper Logistics.
Health officials have been taking a series of steps to try to bring the outbreak under control, but they warned last week that the rate could go higher - because of high levels of testing - before it started to fall again.
