DEFENDANTS have been jailed for violence and breaking a court order at York Magistrates Court recently.

Jamie Leigh Cambrage, 20, of Acomb Road, Holgate, was jailed for 16 weeks for assaulting a police officer at Fulford Road Police Station on May 11 last year, racially aggravated insults on February 20 last year, theft from OneStop shop on Fourth Avenue, on February 10 this year, assault and attempted theft, both at Morrison’s Foss Islands Road on February 19 this year.

She admitted all offences. She was also ordered to pay a £128 statutory surcharge.

Josh James Suter, 29, of Wilkinson Way, Strensall, was jailed for 12 weeks.

He admitted breaching a restraining order on April 13 whilst on prison licence. He was ordered to pay a £128 statutory surcharge.

Simon Andrew Fletcher, 31, of Bishopthorpe Road, York, was jailed for 26 weeks and banned from the Three Cranes in St Sampson’s Square for two years.

He must also pay £150 compensation. He admitted assault and a public order offence in the pub on August 31.

The sentence included 12 weeks previously suspended for a different assault.
