YORK'S weekly recorded Covid rate has increased slightly over the last 24 hours - and 10 more cases have been recorded in the area.
The latest data from Public Health England (PHE) shows that the city's rate has increased by two to 23.3 cases per 100,000 population. This remains just below the UK national average rate, which stands at 23.9 cases per 100,000 population.
The PHE data shows that the further 10 cases recorded in the City of York Council area take the total for the pandemic there to 12,274.
In North Yorkshire the rate has dropped very slightly by 0.3 to 31.6 cases per 100,000 population. A further 28 cases have been recorded in the North Yorkshire County Council area, taking the total for the pandemic to 29,895.
In the East Riding of Yorkshire the rate remains the same at 31.1 cases per 100,000 population, with a further 15 cases taking the area's total for the pandemic to 18,272.
Across the UK, a further 2,381 cases take the country's total for the pandemic to 4,416,623.
