THOSE waiting to see their loved ones in hospital will be glad to hear that visiting rules may be eased in May.
York and Scarborough Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust said some restrictions will need to remain in place and visits must be booked in advance.
In good news for those isolated from their families in hospital, the Trust confirmed that planned changes will be brought in over the coming weeks with big changes pencilled in for May 17.
It will be kept "under review", a spokesperson added.
A spokesperson for the Trust said: “The Trust is planning to ease some visiting from Monday 17 May.
"Some restrictions will need to remain in place, and visiting must be booked in advance.
"Please visit our website for details for the most up to date guidance, which we continue to keep under review.”
