A YORK-BASED musician, who made her name as as session singer in the city, is preparing for the release of her debut solo single.
Alanna Lyes has become known for being the go-to session singer for the Electro-swing scene, as well as front-woman for York-based Electro-funk band Grinny Grandad.
Taking creative control, she now works towards her debut solo album on indie label ‘Freshly Squeezed Music’ - which she described to be a “sultry but confessional” new track that hints at a James Bond theme song, trip-hop and vintage pop.
Her debut single, titled ‘Disappear’ will be released tomorrow (April 30) with producer Atom Smith.
“The new material will take you on a dark and soulful journey into new R&B styled electronica”, Alanna added.
Th artist’s debut album is set to be released in the autumn time of this year.
Alanna said she hopes to form a full live band to tour the record once it has been released.
