FIREFIGHTERS were called in after a dog fell 20 feet down an embankment in York city centre.
North Yorkshire Fire and rescue say they were called out at about 10.23pm yesteray (April 28) to Piccadilly.
A service spokesman said: "A crew from York were called to help at an incident where a dog had fallen 20 feet down an embankment.
"The dog had already been retrieved on the arrival of the crew, no action required from the fire service."
