ONE week has now passed since the last death related to Covid-19 was recorded at hospitals in the York Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
The latest data from NHS England shows that the total number of Covid deaths at York trust hospitals remains at 591, which it reached on April 21.
The trust includes York Hospital and Scarborough.
There have been two more deaths in the North East and Yorkshire region.
Across England, a further 20 people who have tested positive for coronavirus have died, taking the total at hospitals in England to 86,918.
The dates of death range from January 15 to April 27.
Their families have been informed.
