A NEW pet shop is throwing open its doors this weekend.
R&R Country, an equestrian and country superstore based in Hemingbrough, is set to unveil its latest retail venture this Bank holiday weekend while raising money for a good cause.
The shop will officially open at 10am on Saturday, May 1, when customers will be offered a 10 per cent discount off all dog products which will last until Monday, May 3.
R&R Country has given the old building, formerly Stone’s fish and chip restaurant, a new look ready for the launch when they will also be running a raffle to win a dog hamper filled with canine goodies.
Entries will cost just £1 and all money raised will be donated to Jerry Green Dog Rescue charity.
Tina Addy, store manager at the Hemingbrough branch, said it was important to support local charities, especially after the difficulties of last year.
“We can’t wait to open up the shop this Saturday and hopefully raise lots of money for the fantastic charity, Jerry Green," she said.
R&R Country are also hoping to open their in-house dog grooming parlour in the near future.
