ONLY half a dozen Covid patients are now being treated at hospitals in York and Scarborough - with none of them in intensive care.
York Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust said yesterday it currently had six confirmed and suspected Covid-19 inpatients across the trust.
The figure compares with 242 patients at the local peak of the coronavirus crisis on January 26.
The trust said yesterday that a total of 2,154 Covid patients had been discharged to their usual place of residence since the pandemic began, or were or no longer being treated as having Covid-19.
