A WOMAN had her bag snatched in York.

North Yorkshire Police say they are investigating after a woman in York was robbed when she was standing beside her car boot in Strensall Common car park, off Lords Moor Lane.

A police spokesman said: "She felt a push to her back and her dark-coloured rucksack was stolen during the incident. The suspect is believed to be a man in a dark hooded top who was around 5ft 10ins tall and of slim build. He left in a small silver vehicle.

"The incident happened on Sunday, April 18.

"We are requesting the public’s assistance to help establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident.

"In particular, we are appealing for information about any suspicious vehicles in the area at that time.
