PARAMEDICS and firefighters treated someone for smoke inhalation after a fire at a house in York.
North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue say they were called out at 12.20am this morning (April 22) to the rear of a property in Fifth Avenuein Tang Hall in York.
A spokesman for the service said: "A crew from York attended an incident involving a mattress and quadbike on fire in the rear yard of an unoccupied property.
"Crews extinguished the fire and treated a person, who had attempted to tackle the fire, for smoke inhalation.
"They were handed over to the ambulance crew for a precautionary check.
"Crews used one hose reel jet, thermal imaging camera, and first aid pack in the incident."
