TWO men and a woman have been arrested after an attack in a York street.

North Yorkshire Police say the incident happened in Crichton Avenue in Clifton at about 9.45pm on Saturday (April 17). Police were alerted to a silver saloon car which had allegedly been repeatedly driven into a stationary small white car, which was parked near to some shops in Crichton Avenue, causing severe damage to the white car.

The driver of the white car was then assaulted through the driver's window, before making off from the area. The the silver car then also left the area.

A police spokesman said: "Officers are appealing to anyone who was in the area at the time who witnessed the incident to contact them. They would specifically like to speak to anyone who capture phone, dashcam or doorbell footage of the incident.

"Anyone with information which would assist the investigation is asked to contact the Force Control Room on 101 and pass the information on. Please quote reference 12210100294."

A 30-year-old man, a 26-year-old man and a 28-year-old woman, all from York, have been arrested in connection with the incident. They have all since been released on conditional bail.
