Villagers have the chance to join a parish council after one of its member resigned.
If ten electors of Rawcliffe near Goole write to the chief executive of the East Riding of Yorkshire Council asking for a by-election by May 5, one will be held.
Otherwise the remaining councillors can co-opt someone to fill the vacancy on Rawcliffe Parish Council.
