YORK'S weekly rate of recording cases of Covid-19 has now dropped to 10, the latest figures confirm.
The data from Public Health England shows that the city's rate has dropped by three to 10 cases per 100,000 population. This remains below the UK national average rate which stands at 28.6 cases per 100,000 population.
In North Yorkshire the rate has increased by two to 22.2 cases per 100,000 population.
In the East Riding of Yorkshire the rate has increased by eight to 42.5 cases per 100,000 population.
Across the UK, a further 2,491 cases have been recorded, taking the country's total for the pandemic to 4,378,305.
