FOR the first time in five days, a death related to Covid-19 has been recorded at hospitals in the York Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
The latest data from NHS England shows that one further death has been recorded in the York trust, which takes the total number of deaths related to the virus in the trust to 585.
The trust includes York Hospital and Scarborough.
There have been six more Covid deaths in the North East and Yorkshire region.
Across England, a further 34 people have died after testing positive for coronavirus, taking the total number of deaths at hospitals in England to 86,510.
Patients were aged between 54 and 95 years old. All had known underlying health conditions.
The dates of death range from December 26 and April 7.
Their families have been informed.
