ONLY 19 patients with Covid-19 are still being treated at York and Scarborough hospitals - and only one of them still needs intensive care.
York Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust said today that it had 19 confirmed and suspected inpatients who were suffering from the coronavirus across the trust.
The number compares with 242 such patients at the peak of the latest wave of the crisis on January 26 and with 29 such patients earlier this week.
It said it had one such patient in an intensive care unit.
The trust added that a total of 2,132 Covid inpatients had been treated and discharged since the start of the pandemic in March last year, or were no longer being treated as suffering from the coronavirus.
