PEOPLE aged 40 to 49 could be invited to get their Covid vaccine in York within days.
Prof Mike Holmes from Nimbuscare, which runs the vaccination site at Askham Bar Moor Lane Car Park, said the next age group could be getting their invites as soon as April 15.
He said the vaccination team are not yet ready to start vaccinating people in cohort 10 - but hope they will be by the end of next week.
And he added that people aged 18 to 30 will probably be invited for their jabs in May and June.
He told City of York Council's outbreak board: "We'll not be inviting cohort 10 [of people aged 40 to 49] until probably the back end of next week, the 15th of April.
"Therefore we will not get to cohort 12 [people aged 18 to 30 with no underlying health conditions] for some time after that, possibly well into May and possibly June."
