POLICE are appealing for information following a collision between a car and a seven-year-old child in York.
The incident happened at about 2.20pm on Thursday April 1 in North Moor Road in the city and involved a black Ford Focus and the child.
Police said the young boy received minor injury after being hit by the vehicle at the pedestrian crossing prior to the junction of North Moor.
A spokesperson for North Yorkshire Police said: "A male driver has been arrested in connection with the collision and released pending further enquiries.
"We are appealing for witnesses to the collision or anyone who recalls seeing the vehicle prior to the collision, to get in touch as soon as possible to assist the investigation."
