No coronavirus deaths have been reported today from units run by York Teaching Hospital NHS Trust.

It is now more than a week since anyone died with 28 days of a Covid-19 positive test at York or Scarborough Hospitals.

Nationally, 58 more people have died in English hospitals within 28 days of a positive test, NHS England announced today.

They were aged between 39 and 95 and all except a 90-year-old had known underlying health conditions.

Although the deaths were reported in the 24 hours up to 4pm yesterday, they died between December 11 and March 26.
