A SKETCH of York Minster, drawn by the daughter of a well-known architect, is up for auction online.
The drawing was done by Louise Morales-Adams, daughter of Tom Adams, from York, who said she did the sketch while hanging out of the window high up in the art room at York College for Girls when she was just 14.
Louise, who now lives in France, said: "I have always been spell-bound by the great magical effect of the Minster.
"It has always been there for me in my childhood - and I just love sketching beautiful architecture to which I have a deep connection.
"I remember I was bored in the art lesson and was determined to do something that appealed to me.
"This is an ink sketch of the north transept - the Gothic architecture combined with the Minster bells have always entranced me."
The sketch is open to bids on the William George online auction website. You can view this here.
Bidding closes on Tuesday March 30.
Louise was also one of the first girls to attend St Peter's School in the city and she recently did a sketch to commemorate the 45th anniversary of the girls joining the school.
