Fire and rescue crews took advantage of high water levels in the River Ouse yesterday to get in some rescue boat training.
"The river levels are high in York but our crews have been out on the water training to respond to incidents," tweeted Station Manager 'Bob Hoskins'.
Crews wear thermal suits under their dry suits - but it can still get cold. So the team called in to the Perky Peacock for a warming takeaway coffee on the river.
