Homes left without power after pylon fire
HOMES lost power supply after an electricity pylon fire.
North Yorkshire Fire And Rescue say they were called out at 6.07pm yesterday to Main Road, in Weaverthorpe near Malton.
A spokesman for the service said the fire was out on arrival.
He said: "The fire caused slight fire damage to the top of the wooden pylon post and a small area of cable. The Electricity Board were requested to attend as a couple of properties lost their power supply due to the fire."
