UPDATED 7.20PM: The road has now reopened.
EMERGENCY services are on the scene of a crash on the York outer ringroad.
Police, fire and ambulance are dealing with an accident between the Haxby and Earswick roundabouts on the outer ringroad and drivers are being warned to avoid the area if possible. The road is now closed in both directions.
North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue say it's a two vehicle crash. One person was trapped in a vehicle and extricated by fire crews used hydraulic cutting equipment. Crews also administered oxygen therapy.
The severity of their injuries is not yet known.
