Properties in Copmanthorpe were without electricity this morning following a power cut
About 60 properties in Copmanthorpe were still without electricity this evening following a power cut.
The power failure is thought to have been caused by a problem with cables or other equipment serving the village.
Northern Powergrid said: "We are currently working hard to restore ... power, however we are unable to provide an accurate restoration time. Please call us on 105 if you have any specific questions.'"
About 130 properties at Cliffe near Selby are also without power this evening. Northern Powergrid is hoping to have the power retored by 10pm.
