Emergency services called in after reports of man in river
FIREFIGHTERS were called in after reports a man had gone in to a river.
North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue say they were called out at about 1.25am this morning to Millgate, Selby after reports of a man in the river.
A spokesman for the service said: "Crews conducted bank searches using throw lines, lighting and water rescue kit and searches of the local areas.
"The man was found safe and well on a park bench and incident was left with police."
