A PETITION has been launched to stop mainstream media and the EFL referring to Bradford City as simply ‘Bradford’.
For decades, City supporters have been aggrieved by media outlets removing the latter part of their name.
Many believe the shortening causes a clash with neighbours Bradford (Park Avenue) who historically are known as 'Bradford'.
Tom Crawford has decided to try do something about it by starting a petition targeted at the FA, the BBC and Sky Sports.
Crawford makes the comparison with the Sheffield clubs, United and Wednesday. He argues those clubs are always called by their traditional names, so why aren’t Bradford City.
