Power cut hits York homes
NORTHERN Powergrid say they are currently trying to restore power to homes in York.
The energy supplier say about 170 homes in Acomb lost power at about 1pm today and they estimate that the lights won't be back on until about 6.30pm.
They say it has been caused by an 'unexpected problem with the cables'.
