A ROAD has now been cleared following a serious incident in York earlier today (Friday).

North Yorkshire Police said it attended an incident on the junction of Water End with Salisbury Terrace.

The force said a police vehicle collided with a car while responding to an incident in York today.

It added: "No serious injuries were reported following the collision at around 11.05am.

"An ambulance attended to provide medical checks.

"The marked police Ford Transit collided with a Citroen DS on Leeman Road near Water End."
