Main road to shut in York city centre
A MAIN road through York will be shut tonight.
St Leonard's Place in York city centre will be closed from 9pm tonight (January 14) until 6am tomorrow for water works to be carried out.
City of York Council say the closure will be between the Gillygate junction and the northern property boundary of York Theatre Royal.
An alternative route for diverted traffic will be signed during the works period.
The work does not prohibit works or emergency access.
