YORK'S Covid rate has risen again - and remains higher than the national average.
Public Health England said the weekly rolling rate of confirmed coronavirus cases in the City of York Council area in the week to January 8 was 670.9 per 100,000 population.
That compares with an average for the whole of England of 654.9, which was also up.
It also compares with a rate of 443.5 in the North Yorkshire County Council area and of 232.7 in the East Riding of Yorkshire Council area.
