FIREFIGHTERS came to the rescue after a horse became wedged over a stable door in an East Yorkshire village.
Humberside Fire & Rescue Service said the animal - 'wedged by the groin area' - was sedated by a vet and an initial attempt was made to release it by cutting the hinges on the door at a property in Main Street, Skidby, near Beverley.
The horse was eventually released by being manually lifted off the door, and it was then checked over by the vet.
