VEHICLES were stopped by police on a busy York road this morning as part of a road safety and road crime operation.
It took place on Blossom Street near the Premier Inn.
A spokeswoman for North Yorkshire Police said: "The local neighbourhood policing team were carrying out a road safety and road crime operation, looking for defective vehicles, seatbelt, mobile phone offences etc and criminals using the road network."
