This interesting photograph is of the Beldon Sports party preparing to leave for a football tour of Germany. In the mid-eighties English football clubs were banned from Europe after the Heysel European Cup Final disaster. However, Beldon received special permission from the Football Association to play a friendly in Mönchengladbach, losing 4-2.
