FIREFIGHTERS were called out after someone maliciously set off an alarm in York.
North Yorkshire Fire And Rescue say they were called out to a commercial premises off University Road in Heslington shortly before midnight last night.
A spokesman said: "A crew from York responded to a smoke alarm activation in a commercial property.
"This was a malicious false alarm due to deliberate activation of a call point."
